Xiaomi announced the Redmi Pad 2 Pro series and the Pad mini at an event today alongside the Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro.
The Redmi Pad 2 Pro lineup consists of the Pad 2 Pro (Wi-Fi), Pad 2 Pro 5G, and a Pad 2 Pro Matte Glass Version. All three variants feature a 12.1-inch LCD display that has a refresh rate of 120Hz, up to 600 nits of brightness, and 2.5K resolution.
The Pad 2 Pro series also supports Dolby Vision, DC dimming, and come with TUV Rheinland Low Blue light certification. Meanwhile, the Matte Glass Version gets an AG nano-texture screen that is claimed to reduce glare by up to 97%.
Redmi’s new tablets are equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC and offer up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of inbuilt storage. The tablets also support storage expansion up to 2TB via a microSD card.
The Pad 2 Pro and Pad 2 Pro Matte Glass Version feature an 8 MP rear camera, whereas the Pad 2 Pro 5G gets a 13 MP unit. All three tablets come with an 8 MP front-facing camera.
The entire lineup packs a 12,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Other specs include, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity (5G on Pad 2 Pro 5G), quad speakers, and Dolby Atmos support. The tablets run HyperOS 2 out-of-the-box and offer Google Gemini and Circle to Search.

Xiaomi also unveiled the Pad mini compact tablet at the event. It comes with an 8.8-inch display that offers 3K resolution and up to 165Hz refresh rate. The panel also offers Dolby Vision support, 700 nits peak brightness, and full DC dimming.
The Xiaomi Pad mini is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ SoC, which is coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
It comes with a 13 MP rear-facing camera that offers 4K recording at 30 fps. At the front, the tablet has an 8MP sensor.
Xiaomi’s Pad mini houses a 7,500 mAh battery that offers 67W fast charging and 18W wired reverse charging. The tablet gets dual USB-C ports, dual stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res audio, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. The tablet weighs 326g.

As for pricing, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro Wi-Fi starts at €299.9 for the 6 GB/128 GB option. It is also available in an 8 GB/256 GB variant, which is priced at €349.9. The tablet is sold in Graphite Gray, Lavender Purple, and Silver colors.

The Redmi Pad 2 Pro Matte Glass Version is available with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, priced at €379.9.
Next, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G starts at €379.9 for the 6 GB/128 GB option. The tablet is available in Graphite Gray and Silver colors.

Finally, the Xiaomi Pad mini has a starting price of $429. It will be available in 8 GB/256 GB and 12 GB/512 GB variants in Purple and Gray color options.
