The Realme GT8 Pro is preparing for a global launch this month and it will be the first to bring the latest Realme UI 7.0, which is based on Android 16.
Realme UI 7.0 is a major redesign, which employs various kinds of transparencies. The overarching look is called “Light Glass Design” and it features transparency, depth and fluidity inspired by glass. Then there are Ice Cube Icons, Misty Glass Control Center and the Breathing Dock.

The user interface is becoming more customizable too. Flux Theme 2.0 adds large text themes. You can set a panoramic view for the Always On Display and customize the fingerprint unlock animations. You can set a Live Photo or a video as a wallpaper and apply AI-generated depth of field effects. There are new widgets and lockscreen styles, plus resizable Flux Desktop Icons.
New this version is iPhone and Apple Watch Connect. This will allow you to sync health data from an Apple Watch to your Realme phone. Also, calls and messages from an iPhone will appear on Realme watches.
The Multi-task sidebar offers instant access to select apps and key tools without having to exit the current app. Under-the-hood optimizations to the Flux Engine improve overall system responsiveness by 15%, make app scrolling 29% smoother and up daily performance by 22%. The new Seamless Animations also help to create a fluid experience.

Realme UI 7.0 also leverages AI to reduce notification spam – AI Notify Brief will take non-urgent notifications and create morning and evening briefs for you. It can also schedule updates and create to-dos to help you manage your time better.
Another feature is AI Framing Master, which will guide budding photographers and help them get the best framing of a scene while explaining the underlying composition principles so that next time users can do it themselves. Similarly, the AI Gaming Coach will provide insights for your game to help you out of a bind.

Realme UI 7.0 will be available out of the box on the Realme GT 8 Pro. The new OS version and UI will start rolling out to older models this month – the Realme GT 7 Pro will be among the first to get it. A more detailed road map for the update will be announced soon. The new version is already available as an Open Beta for select devices.
