Less than a week before the incident, Megan made her Broadway debut and shared the special moment on her Instagram of the crowd’s reaction.
“MY BROADWAY DEBUT AS ZIDLER IN @moulinrougebway,” Meg captioned her post. “So grateful for this incredible cast & crew & everyone who worked so hard to make opening night a success!! HOTTIES IM ON BROADWAY!!”
She is expected to continue her run in Moulin Rouge! through May 17, 2026.

A rep for Megan said she exhibited certain “symptoms” of an unspecified illness, but it’s still unclear what exactly led to her hospitalization.
“During Tuesday night’s production, Megan started feeling very ill and was promptly transported to a local hospital, where her symptoms are currently being evaluated,” her rep told Variety in a statement. “We will share additional updates as more information becomes available.”
Meg broke her silence on the situation in an April 1 Instagram post, which began with her writing, “Last night was a real wake-up call for me. I’ve been pushing myself past my limits lately, running on empty, and my body finally said enough. It honestly scared me. I thought I was gonna faint on stage, I really tried to push through my performance but I just couldn’t.”
“Hotties I wanna be real with y’all because you mean everything to me and I hate letting yall down,” she continued in her caption. “I just need one day to rest, reset, and take care of myself the way I should have been..I’ll be right back on that stage Thursday, stronger, clearer, and ready to give you 100% the way you deserve. Thank you for always riding with me and loving me through everything.”
