- “The Price Is Right” is conducting auditions for the show in Philadelphia on July 22
- The casting call will be held at Rivers Casino Philadelphia in Fishtown
If you’ve ever wanted to be a contestant on “The Price Is Right” and can get to Philadelphia in July, you’re in luck.

“The Price Is Right” is the longest-running game show in US television history. Producers of the TV show are hoping to meet people with big personalities and a knack for guessing the prices of retail items at Rivers Casino Philadelphia in July.
The CBS program, hosted by Drew Carey, plans to be at the Fishtown casino on Wednesday, July 22, from 11 am until 2 pm, to meet with potential contestants. People can begin lining up at the casino’s event center at 10 am.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, US citizens, and live within the country.
Casting Call
Each one-minute audition includes the auditioner showing how they would respond to being called to “Come on down!” The iconic phrase was coined by “The Price Is Right” announcer Johnny Olson.
Olson’s successors, Rod Roddy and George Gray, have continued the announcement in calling enthusiastic audience members to Contestant’s Row.
“The Price Is Right” plans to cast at least two contestants. Those individuals will be flown to Los Angeles and have their accommodations covered for a taping of the show. One of them will be guaranteed to be called down to Contestant’s Row.
“We’re excited to host a ‘Price Is Right’ contestant search at Rivers Casino Philadelphia,” said Scott Lokke, general manager of Rivers Casino Philadelphia. “This is another fun and unique opportunity for fans to put themselves in the running for one of the most recognizable game shows on television.”
“The Price Is Right” celebrated its 10,000th episode on Feb. 26, 2025.
The game show originated in 1972 with the legendary Bob Barker hosting the program until his retirement in 2007. Carey took over for Barker and has remained in the role since.
Earlier this month, contestant Vanessa McCaskell, a retired Army veteran, set the record for the show’s largest single-game winnings at $240,150 in cash and prizes. McCaskell’s bounty included $227,500 in cash and a trip to Morocco. The record came during the Mother’s Day episode.
‘Price Is Right’ Casino Games
While not as popular as “Wheel of Fortune,” “The Price Is Right” has long commanded casino floor space. Both physical and online slots using the “Price Is Right” brand are operational across the country.
Las Vegas-based gaming manufacturing leader IGT produces various “Price Is Right” games, with its standard slot being a five-reel, 25-payline game featuring mini versions of the show’s iconic games, including Plinko, Big Wheel, and Cliff Hangers.
